The five partners of the IUCH are: the American Society of Circumpolar Health, the Canadian Society for Circumpolar Health, the Danish/Greenlandic Society for Circumpolar health, and the Nordic Society for Circumpolar Health and the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences. The IUCH sponsors a triennial Congress and the next one will be in Oulu Finland June 8-12, 2015. The IUCH has working groups that concentrate on health problems of circumpolar populations, maintains several publications and supports international efforts in telemedicine and health informatics. The Working Groups promote closer collaboration between individuals and institutions involved in the health of circumpolar populations through the exchange of practical experience and research data, and the development of systems and strategies for conducting surveillance, surveys, analytical studies, field trials of interventions, and demonstration programs.
