TEENAGE PREGNANCY AND SOCIAL Pernambuco BRAZIL - VULNERABILITY

INTRODUCTION:  Adolescence is considered a troubled phase , several changes are perceived in the physiology of the body , thoughts and attitudes of these young people . When adolescence and pregnancy occurring together can have serious consequences for all families , but especially for the teenagers involved . In turn , social vulnerability is not new in society , and in it are introduced precariousness access to different segments in the social, family income , bond of the labor market situation of the family of origin and family support .Objective: To identify aspects that characterize the vulnerability of youth involved in teen pregnancy in an area covered by a particular area of social interest in the city of Recife , Pernambuco .

METHODS:  Methodology : The study was quantitative , with descriptive approach and cross-section . Held in a community of Recife with a population of 20 pregnant adolescents , but the sample consisted of 17 pregnant adolescents ¬ tients with age between 10 and 19 years . Data collection was conducted through a questionnaire from May 2009 to May 2010 .

RESULTS:  We found a percentage for pregnancy of 3.82 %, the average age was 16 years, 13 lived in a consensual union , 07 had a family income up to minimum wage ( R $ 510.00 ) , 14 were primiparous ; 08 had urinary tract infections and low weight and anemia and 07 . It is considered that pregnant adolescents have social and obstetric risk that may trigger your negative health outcomes .

CONCLUSIONS:  The relevance of this work allowed for further reflection regarding the need to develop educational actions targeting the field of prevention and vulnerability reduction when taking into account the profile of these young people .
